Bylaw Title


The enforcement of municipal bylaws on a contracted basis is a new but natural venture for NPSS Inc. Municipalities in our home province have been having a difficult time in the effective enforcement of their respective bylaws and NPSS Inc. is able to draw upon its resources to place properly trained and directed personnel in the role of Bylaw Enforcement Officers. The commitment that NPSS Inc. and its client municipalities have to effective bylaw enforcement is on a long term basis and for the progressive needs of the client. Specific personnel and equipment have been sourced to fulfill this high priority role.



Uniform Bylaw Enforcement

  1. Investigation and enforcement of all municipal bylaws with a primary concentration on unsightly/unsafe premises.
  2. Support investigation of issues relative to development/zoning bylaws.
  3. Bylaw Enforcement Patrols provides a visible presence in the municipality.
  4. Strong emphasis on voluntary compliance.
  5. Fully trained, equipped and well directed personnel.



Consulting Services

  1. Bylaw review for content and enforceability.
  2. Bylaw development for changing issues.
  3. Court preparation and prosecutorial services for bylaw infractions.
  4. Development of bylaw enforcement strategies.
  5. Providing hearing representation on behalf of the municipality.
  6. Training of municipal personnel in bylaw issues.
  7. Liaison with enforcement and provincial agencies.
